Preventing Residential Break-Ins

Nobody is immune to residential break-ins.  There are steps that you can take now to reduce your chances of becoming a victim.  

1.       -  Install a residential security alarm system at your residence

  -  Install motion sensor lights in the back of the townhome and keep exterior lights on

2.       - Install light timers for the interior of your townhome

3.       - Plant thorny bushes around windows to make illegal entry more difficult

4.       - Keep landscape maintained so that it is not overgrown

5.       - Talk to your neighbors and share information

6.       - Most important – "See Something, Say Something" - Never approach a supicious person or stranger in  
     the community. If you see any suspicious person or activity, you should contact the police and have
     them investigate
